Reconstruction

This cluster will focus on the wider issue of transition from war to peace and the role that ‘good’ reconstruction can play in building peace and establishing lasting representative institutions.  The absence of strategic planning for reconstruction can be detrimental to the well-being of individuals and communities alike. This cluster will examine the multi-faceted nature of reconstruction - economic, political, social and physical, and will study issues such as the reintegration of conflict-affected groups, the rehabilitation of infrastructure, and the promotion of good governance.
